Years as a Toastmaster

10

Why you joined?

I wanted to improve my public speaking skills.

I love the people I meet and enjoy the continued growth that has given me confidence and enhanced skills in both my personal and professional life.

Why you stay?

The number one lesson that keeps being reinforced is that: communication is still the most important lesson that we can teach in Toastmasters and it seems to be an area that needs to be consistently reinforced time-after-time. Maybe we need a special course on the need to communicate quickly and efficiently. Trying to get Toastmasters at all levels of leadership to communicate effectively has been an ongoing problem since I joined in 2010 and still needs improvement.

One lesson you learned on your journey to DTM

Communication.
