The Johari Window – The Science Behind Why the Toastmasters program works so well

2021-03-09 @ 19:00 - 20:00 EST

We all know Toastmasters works, but have you ever wondered why?  Learn the science behind becoming a better communicator, evaluate your communication style, and learn how to use Toastmasters to improve your small group interactions at work, with friends, and in Toastmasters. In this session, you will learn:

  • how to recognize the different personalities that can cause conflict in small groups (could that personality be yours?)
  • coping mechanisms for turning differences in personality from barriers into benefits
  • seasoned Toastmasters will also learn new ideas to present at your next Speechcraft or Open House.

This session is presented by Amy Linn-Strosin, DTM, a guest speaker from District 35.  Her Masters is in Adult Education with a Bachelors in Human Services, where she learned skills that help people manage their interactions with others.
