There’s no better time for this than when Toastmasters International celebrates its centennial birthday on October 22!
District 61 is excited to announce the launch of the “Share the Joy: Let’s Celebrate Together” initiative! We invite all clubs in our District to share their joy with the communities within which they operate this fall!
District 61 clubs can participate in the initiative by following these steps:
- Host a 100-year celebration event open to the community between October 15 and November 30.
- Model the event as an open house opportunity where a club can attract new members. Showing the enjoyable club experience where Toastmasters find exponential personal growth through time-tested learning techniques is the best way to share our joy with our fellow community members.
- Invite local community leaders (e.g., city councillors, chamber of commerce representatives, community association leaders, sports league leaders, Rotary club leaders, religious leaders, etc.). Also, encourage them to promote their participation through their media channels.
- Collaborate with other Toastmasters clubs in your area, if needed, to make the event even more impactful.
- Get creative! Deliver an unforgettable Toastmasters experience to your guests.
Note: The two clubs that attract the highest number of non-Toastmasters guests, including at least two community leaders, will receive a special reward from District 61.
Can’t wait to get started? Here’s what to do:
- Notify District 61 Marketing Manager at Marketing@tmd61.com of your club’s plan to host a “Share the Joy” event as soon as possible. Be sure to include the club name, organizer/co-organizer contact details, and event date and time. Also, indicate whether you’d like to invite District 61 leaders to your event.
- After your event, submit your guest list to be eligible to win the “Share the Joy” contest reward.
